Here at Highland Outfitters and Guide Service we offer Hunting and Fishing in the Western Mountains and Lakes of Maine along with Bear and Moose hunting ( zones 6&11) in Northern Maine.
Our Goal
Our goal at HOGS is to provide to all levels outdoorsmen/women with a high quality, safe and educational hunting and fishing experience, while maintaining the traditional values that Maine hunting and fishing is known for. The State of Maine offers several youth day hunting opportunities where the kids have the woods to themselves without the pressure from other hunters. We love these days to introduce and educate new hunters to our world along with the more experienced youths that are looking for that trophy. We offer special packages and preparation for these youth hunts so bring your kid or someone else’s and we will make it an adventure they will not forget.
Our Locations
Our home base is on the Beautiful Highland Lake in Bridgton Maine. Bridgton is a small town in the heart of the Western Lakes and Mountains Region. Located between:
- Portland (1hr drive)
- Freeport (1hr drive)
- Cabelas (1hr 15min drive)
- North Conway, New Hampshire (45 mins drive)
Bridgton offers year round recreational activities for its visitors. HOGS has permission to hunt several productive pieces of private land that hold an abundance of turkeys, deer, and upland game.
Our Northern Maine bear and moose hunting is done out of our camps on Russell Lake in Linneus, Maine. We work with Registered Guide Jim Hunt at Hunt’s End Camps, who works tirelessly to ensure you will have a great hunt with the best opportunity to harvest a Maine Black Bear or Moose.
