Our fully equipped camp in northern Maine holds true to the traditional “hunting camp” values of Maine hunters except the indoor bathroom that we thought was a must. It is a 3 room (main room, 1 bedroom and bathroom) camp located on Russell Lake which is stocked annually with Brook Trout by the state. There is only 4 camps on the entire lake and a canoe will be available to you during your stay to fish or just enjoy a nice peaceful paddle. The camp is fully wired for generated electricity (which we can provide) or you can go the traditional route and use the gas lights and stove. There is no running water but there is an outdoor shower and a lake full of water for all your clean up needs. The woodstove is your source of heat and center piece for sharing the days hunt. If you are looking to get away from phones, TVs and the noise of today’s fast pace world this makes for a great place to get away and experience the traditional way of hunting in Maine. It’s not fancy, but very comfortable and clean. Please call us for more details and what you will need to bring.
If you are hunting or fishing out of Bridgton we have several, Motels and Bed & Breakfasts in the area (please see links) that will satisfy almost any needs for lodging. There are special rates for Highland Outfitter & Guide Service clients so please let them know while you are making your reservations.
